Small backyard for a big family and a tight budget

This lovely small backyard needed to accommodate a family of six. As the Client is a handyman, he wanted a simple design that he can do on its own. The starting point was this beautiful old play structure for his four kids. Refurbished play structure was placed just beside the prefabricated pergola with a lounge seating. Existing wood decking will be repainted for a big dining table and a grill. Easy-on-the-budget roller shades will provide a weather protection when needed. We have managed to squeeze in a few low maintenance plants to fully wrap up this tiny place. Now, we can only imagine how vibrant this backyard is going to be, and we love it!
