Landscape design for a tight budget

This old North York backyard needed a bit of a TLC. As the budget was quite tight, we haven’t implemented any major changes to the existing hardscaping (pool and the retaining wall at the back are existing). Major problem was with overgrown existing plants that needed a pruning and shaping up. A few of the existing overgrown shrubs were removed to be replaced with a new once for a fresh and polished look. Seating area was designed with a new furniture and a roll up shades for the sun protection. We have added a few lounge chairs beside the pool as well as small seating area with a gas fire pit for the fresh nights. This yard is a proof that a good landscape design can take you a long way even on a smallest budget.
